What Is OCFA?

The OCFA was originally organized as the “Oklahoma Association of Small Loan Companies” on July 21, 1941.  In 1952 the organization’s name was changed to the Oklahoma Consumer Finance Association or OCFA.

The OCFA is a strong and vital part of the installment lending community in Oklahoma.  We maintain a strong Board of Directors, whose function is to set policy and provide oversight for the Association.  The Board also keeps up with all proposed legislation and federal and state laws that are beneficial to our industry and opposing those that are not.  We are extremely involved in the political process to ensure that the elected officials are aware of the significance of our industry and the needs of small loan borrowers.
